In 2010 we tilled our land and seeded the variety of grasses shown below to create our traditional grassland meadows that would have flourished in Ireland pre-1900. This diversity of grasses provides rich grazing and makes wonderful hay for our cattle:
sweet vernal ryegrass, perennial ryegrass, meadow foxtail, crested dogstail, cocksfoot, rough stalked meadow grass, meadow fescue, timothy, red clover, white clover ...

In addition, we planted over 3,000 native trees and hedgerows:
oak, ash, elm, alder, elder, willow, hazel, horse chestnut, sweet chestnut, hawthorn, blackthorn ...
